Behavioral Health Services

Qualified professionals provide a range of treatment and prevention services. Our outpatient clinic is licensed by the State of Arizona to serve children, families and adults with a variety of concerns. Prevention services combine community education, skills training and advocacy in the areas of domestic violence.

Casa’s Care Line was our very first service and remains the community’s only 24-hour information/referral and crisis line.

Treatment Services

Casa de Esperanza offers outpatient behavioral health services to children and adults residing in Southern Arizona including:

  • Assessment
  • Individual, group and family therapy
  • Specialized services for elders
  • Psychiatric referral

Treatment services are provided by licensed therapists and support staff. Assistance is available to adults for general mental health issues such as depression, life transitions and trauma recovery; grief & loss, caregiving and substance abuse recovery; and for serious mental illnesses. Families can learn new coping and behavioral skills to help their children who may have, for example, anger management problems, ADHD or abuse issues. Our work is client-centered and strengths-based.

Behavioral Health Services are available to the general public through Medicare, insurance benefits, and fee-for-service with sliding scale considerations.

Please contact Sage at 625-2273 x841 or sbergstrom@casacanhelp.org for more information.

Behavioral Health Prevention services include Casa’s 24-hour Care Line and the Family Violence Prevention Project. Casa prevention specialists are available to address community groups, local agencies and businesses. Contact: 625-2273 for information and presentation scheduling.

Live Life Today! - information and referral website

Nationwide, adults age 70 and older have the highest suicide rate of any age group. Suicide is a serious community health issue. With Green Valley’s concentrated population of older adults, Casa believes this is an important behavioral health issue to address.

We maintain this website as an informative resource for those interesting in developing and sustaining quality of life after 55. It includes a Quality of Life self-assessment, links and contacts to services, recommended reading and articles on common issues which affect one’s quality of life especially after 55.

Casa’s Care Line

Casa’s Care Line is the community’s only 24-hour telephone crisis line. Callers receive support, counseling and crisis intervention. Information, referral and comfort to those in need are also provided. The Care Line is staffed by Casa counselors.

Family Violence Prevention

Casa De Esperanza and the Brewster Center Domestic Violence Services have embarked on a collaborative partnership to prevent domestic violence in our community, as well as to provide advocacy services to local residents of the Green Valley area who are currently suffering in domestic violence situations. Through community education presentations and advocacy the two organizations are working together to strengthen awareness and services in our community.

The United Way of Tucson and Southern Arizona supports our outreach and education efforts to local organizations/businesses in assisting employees dealing with domestic violence and to law enforcement in enhancing officer training on domestic violence issues.

Do You Need Help?

Domestic Violence is a pattern of coercive control that one person exercises over another in order to dominate and get their way.

Abuse can be verbal, physical, emotional, financial, or sexual, but whatever the form of abuse, no one deserves it.
